The Empire of Lies, or How the Skripals Broke Putin's Bonds

Did President Putin, the chief liar of the Empire of Lies (1), ever think that a second chemical attack in the UK would be a major disaster for him? Revenge for the betrayal of the Empire of Lies is one of Putin's bonds. As reality shows, Putin kills anyone who has evidence in his possession exposing him as a revanchist and a bandit, members of the organized crime group he created, entrenched behind the Kremlin walls. Boris Nemtsov (2), Anna Politkovskaya, Orkhan Dzhemal, Alexander Rastorguev, and Kirill Radchenko (3) have fallen victim to this bond. Putin is especially merciless toward former employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) who have fled abroad, such as the murder of Litvinenko or the failed attempt to poison Skripal and, at the same time, his daughter, so to speak, as a warning to his mongrels.

While Putin got away with the use of radioactive Polonium in central London, the second attack with the Novichok nerve agent, which infected several people and killed one, sparked outrage not only in the UK but also in EU countries and the US. The protest against Russia resulted in the expulsion of a large number of Russian diplomats and the imposition of severe anti-Russian economic sanctions. A thorough investigation by Scotland Yard resulted in the issuance, at the request of the Crown Prosecution Service, of an arrest warrant for two Russian citizens, Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Bashirov, suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack using a banned chemical weapon of mass destruction. These individuals are apparently GRU officers, whom the Kremlin will never hand over to justice, just as it refused to hand over Lugovoi and Kovtun, those responsible for Litvinenko's death, which already demonstrates Russia's guilt. Incidentally, Russia is also facing trial for the death of the 298 people on flight MH-17 (4).

Today, the vengeful Putin is biting his elbows, regretting the failed attempt to deal with the former KGB officer, an attempt that exposed him as a liar and the essence of his empire of lies—a miraculously surviving lizard from the age of dinosaurs, which has no place in the modern world.

It should be noted that Putin clearly did not expect such Western solidarity in its willingness to perceive Putin's Russia as a dangerous enemy, one that has encroached on the values of Western democracy and violated the established world order. The revanchist Putin, facing the economic collapse of his empire, which will hopefully now result in its final disintegration, suddenly remembered international law. But he would do better to remember the Nuremberg Trials against Hitler's fascists, for his revanchist aspirations to restore the Russian Empire to its former borders differ little from the goals and methods of Hitler himself, whose shadow once again looms over the world (5).
