The rupture of relations between Baku and Moscow was quite expected. Russia's aggressive imperial policy has never been supported by Azerbaijan, and the persecution of Azerbaijanis in Russia on ethnic grounds has exposed the aggressive nature of the Russian state and the Russian people towards other nations. Some believe that Putin is to blame for everything, but this is far from reality, because everything Putin does finds support among the Russian people. Maybe I'm unlucky, but I have not met a single Russian who condemns Putin. I was shocked when I saw a long line of Russian Israelis at the embassy in Tel Aviv voting for Putin during the presidential elections. I am sure that the Russians living in Azerbaijan are also for Putin. Russians, like in Ukraine or Lithuania, are a fifth column supporting the lies coming from the Kremlin. Aliyev did the right thing by closing down Sputnik, which is known for its espionage and propaganda activities. It is no wonder that this Russian organization was closed down in many countries. I myself had to experience the activities of Russians in the media, so 10 years ago, not on the Russian, but on the Azerbaijani Russian-language forum Bakililar.AzForum, the local administration blocked me for my anti-Putin articles without any explanation. By the way, I am still prohibited from publishing there. I have no doubt that, if the opportunity arises, Russians in Azerbaijan will show their attitude to the country where they live, as happened in Ukraine.

 

Today, the Kremlin has unleashed all its full-time propagandists on Azerbaijan and President Aliyev, who, you see, dared to call the Russian authorities to order and justice in accordance with the law.

 

Some readers saw in my words incitement to hatred towards the Russian people. As an example, I will cite the response of a certain Oleg Namazov, outraged by my definition of the Russian people as Great Russian chauvinism. By the way, I am not the first to have this opinion.

Oleg Namazov:

In the USSR it was not like now. I said and did what I wanted, and the chauvinism was of bug proportions. And I calmly dared to prove any truth among Russians, as an Azerbaijani, even in Moscow or Irkutsk. And so, this point of view of yours is also included in the toolkit of string pullers, manipulators of public opinion...

 

    Oleg Namazov, you say the chauvinism was of bug proportions? And the fact that all textbooks on higher education were in Russian, does this mean anything to you? Dissertations had to be written exclusively in Russian. That is, the entire color of the people, the entire cultural layer of any people in the USSR had to be presented in Russian. The national languages ​​of the peoples were under threat of extinction. Russians usually did not know the language of the indigenous people in the republics and even treated them with mockery if they spoke Russian poorly. And if someone began to complain about this situation, they would be labeled a nationalist and, at best, sent to a madhouse. The national republics were subjected to robbery at the state level. Have you ever thought about why, when the country was starving, people went to Moscow for sausage and butter. You say that in the USSR you did what you wanted, but your desires were very limited, like a bug that needs nothing more than an acre of blood. I also wanted fried potatoes at that time, but the butter disappeared from the grocery stores in Baku. I had no choice but to fulfill my desire to fly to Moscow. I bought 15 kg of butter, which I melted in a student dormitory. The smell of melted butter permeated the entire floor. Oleg Namazov must not have asked himself why Moscow has everything, while Baku does not even have such a necessary product as butter.

Azerbaijan, having freed itself from Moscow, has transformed itself and this is a clear example of what independence from Russia has given. And what is the Russian people, who overwhelmingly vote for Putin and consider Crimea and Ukraine to be Russian land, can be seen from the results of those atrocities that were demonstrated to them in Bucha and Baku. This is chauvinism, which you have measured with the size of a bug. Rather, you, my dear, have a brain like a bug.

 

  And the USSR by its nature was a bug of enormous size, sucking the blood of other nations, bringing them to a state of poverty, and when everything was already sucked out, Moscow, realizing that there was nothing more to feed on, threw out a cry, like, we have nothing to feed the other republics. And now, when the free republics have grown stronger, it has smelled fresh blood. This is the essence of Russia and its people. It is the people who determine the place where they live. As they say, it is not the place that makes the man, but the man that makes the place. So what kind of people Russia is, such is its country. And Russia is an aggressor country and it is not about Putin, but about the Russian people. However, this circumstance concerns any people. No one else but the people is responsible for everything they have shown themselves to be. In short, what kind of people are, such is the country. For example, Finland is the most prosperous country and it owes its well-being to the people living in it. Finland has no oil or gas, a quarter of the country is covered with snow for 8 months, while Russia has oil and gas and fertile land, but the people are in poverty. Move the Finns to Russia, and the Russians to Finland, it is not hard to guess what prosperous Finland will turn into and how Russia will be transformed. The Finns work and create wealth, build huge airliners, produce phones, that is, they produce everything for the benefit of the people, and the Russians create Kalashnikovs to rob and kill people. Here you have a distinctive feature, in this case, the Russian people, from other peoples.
