In 2017, Ukraine is given a chance to clear its territory of Russian invaders. The fact is that in 2018 Russia will host the World Cup. So, if Ukraine starts active military operations in 2017 to restore its territorial integrity, it is unlikely that Putin will decide on an open military confrontation on the eve of the World Cup 2018, especially since the Russian president adheres to the lie about Russia’s non-intervention in the ongoing war of the Ukrainian state with separatist fighters in the South-East of the country. If Putin does not surrender the separatists and gets involved in the war, then the Mundial, the holding of which in Russia has already been called into question due to corruption scandals in FIFA, will definitely be covered with a copper basin. The reaction of the world community will undoubtedly turn out to be unfavorable for Russia, and regardless of military successes. The role of an outcast of the world community of Russia cannot be avoided. There is no doubt that in the event of a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine, the latter will begin to receive military assistance from the West. The war will become protracted. By the way, a similar scenario already took place in the Crimean War of 1853-1856, which Russia successfully lost due to economic and technical backwardness. There is no doubt that for the same reason the current war will turn out to be a defeat for Russia.

Here we must take into account a very important circumstance, namely, that Putin has no way back, he cannot keep the regions torn from Ukraine in limbo for an indefinitely long time. It is clear that the so-called self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk republics are not capable of functioning as independent states on their own. On the other hand, if Russia “according to the will of the population” of these republics, or according to Putin’s definition of Novorossiya, annexes this part of the territory of Ukraine, then, as it were, an end is put, and thereby the legal possibility of further expansion is excluded, and after all, Putin initially planned to seize all of Ukraine on the basis of from the message to which he directly pointed out, namely, that Russians and Ukrainians are one people. Here the question involuntarily arises, where exactly does the Russian revanchist see the end of the borders of Novorossia, or, like in Russia, according to Putin's dreamy but significant joke, do they end nowhere. And isn't it time to remember Putin another name for Ukraine - Little Russia.

I believe that Putin has been preparing for the return of Ukraine to the bosom of the empire for a long time, for which he introduced his corrupt henchman Yanukovych, interfering in the presidential elections in Ukraine, but the Maidan violated his far-reaching plan. With this in mind, and also taking into account Putin's undisguised regret about the collapse of the Soviet Union, after the World Cup 2018, he will activate his innermost intention to return the former colonial peoples to Russia.

Therefore, Ukraine must get ahead of Putin, finally declare martial law in the country and begin to liberate its territory from the invaders right now, in 2017, otherwise after the World Cup 2018 it will face big problems. By the way, a similar situation was before the Sochi Olympics and in the article “Ukraine as a Victim of the Immorality of the West towards Russia” I wrote: “One thing is clear, before the Sochi Winter Olympics, Russia will not invade Ukraine, so as not to repeat the failed Moscow Olympics in 1980. Therefore, Ukrainians need to hurry up with joining the EU before the end of the Sochi Olympiad” (1). And in the articles “A terrible price for a roof from rose revolutions” for 12/26/2005 (2) and “Whose Crimea” for 02/06/2006 (3), that is, long before the annexation of Crimea in 2014, I foresaw a Russian military invasion of Ukraine . Then the Ukrainians missed, one might say, all the possibilities and even missed the traitor Yanukovych, allowing him to flee.

Without a doubt, the desire of the revanchist Putin to restore the empire within the borders of the Soviet Union under the far-fetched and insidious pretext of "defending the Russian world", and exclusively through the annexation of foreign territories, while in Russia itself this notorious Russian world is heading towards an economic catastrophe, will lead to another collapse empire. And, if the situation for Putin, in which he has driven himself, provides for two outcomes, the first is to be crucified by an angry people at the gates of the Kremlin and the second is to plunge the World into a nightmare of nuclear war (4), then in general for the Russian people with its According to the imperial worldview, there is only one outcome - the inevitable loss of the empire.
